The here and there
I started tattooing in Santa Cruz California. I eventually started working with my friend Justin Bell at Marks of Art. (owned by Scotty Weeks) These were my glory years of tattooing, being able to work around some of the greatest tattooers. Takihiro Kitamora who at the time was just getting his start with the Horiyoshi family and he is now the owner of State of Grace tattoo in San Jose. He is the publisher of many of the finest tattoo books in the world. Robert Klem who is the owner of O’Riellys tattoo in Santa Cruz is one of my favorite tattooers around. I eventually moved back to Oakland and opened FTW Tattoo Parlor. I sold the shop to Sean Perkinson and Jason Phillips. They have taken what I started and it is one of the most respected shops in the Bay Area. I made my move to Reno in 2002 and started working at Aces tattoo with long time friends Kevin Cox, Jared Isenberg and Rob Hiestand. My best friend Lee Hanna opened Dixie Rose tattoo and I made the move with Kevin Cox blessing. Unfortunately this was a short lived move. I took a small break from tattooing and eventually opened up Triumph Tattoo in 2010. Now I co-own Reno's first and only licensed private studio with my good friend Tyler Lunt.
I enjoy Americana and Japanese style tattooing the best but I’m a pretty well rounded tattooer. I don’t stick to just these two styles of tattooing. I feel comfortable with almost all aspects of tattooing.

They're is a lot more people I've had the privilege to work with and have helped me along the way. I'm always up for more traveling and if you need a guest artist at your shop please feel free to contact me. If funds are available for me to travel at the time I'd love to meet new tattooers.
As usual with my life I over extend myself constantly. I've taken down the online store and will offer a few things here to purchase online. I want to just concentrate on tattoo art and simplify my life. Store.
I hold myself to a higher standard than what is regulated by the state of Nevada. Everything I use is disposable and a one time use per client. I will not sacrifice cost over sanitation. This is my number one priority over creating the best tattoos. We are currently the first and only tattoo shop completely up to date with Nevadas new regulations.
